Methi Paratha Recipe / How to make Methi Paratha / Methike Parathe

                     Methi Paratha Recipe is a healthy breakfast recipe. Kids like methi paratha much more than methi sabzi. So for their lunch box you can make methi paratha.  Methi paratha is healthy because methi (fenugreek) is a rich source of medicinal properties.

How to make methi paratha

Makes – 7 to 8 parathas

Ingredients
·         Methi leaves (fenugreek leaves) – 1 cup finely chopped
·         Wheat flour – 2 cups
·         Garlic – 1 table spoon finely chopped
·         Oil – 1 table spoon
·         Green chili – 2 finely chopped
·         Turmeric powder – ½ tea spoon
·         Chili powder – 2 table spoon
·         Salt as per taste(here used 1 table spoon)
·         Finely chopped coriander leaves – 1 table spoon
·         water


Step by step making of methi paratha recipe is as fallows,


1)      wash methi leaves and allow to drain the water. After some time finely chopp the methi leaves.
2)      In a wide bowl or big  plate take wheat flour. Add chopped methi, salt, oil, chopped garlic, green chilies, turmeric powder, chili powder and salt. Mix well.
3)      Add water in small quantities and make a smooth dough. Keep aside for 15 minutes.
4)      After 15 minutes take a small ball size dough and dust with wheat flour and roll it to make big size methi paratha.
5)      Heat tawa/pan and place the paratha on it and allow to cook. Sprinkle or brush some oil on paratha and flip it.
6)      Cook methi paratha from other side also applying some oil. Like this make all parathas.


Serve methike parathe with curd and any pickle.
