Crispy Karela fry recipe / How to make Karela recipe / कुरकुरित तळलेले कारले / करेला



Though Bitter gourd is bitter in taste, it has many health benefits. It helps in maintaining blood sugar level, lowers bad cholesterol, helps in weight loss and many more. Many pepoles don’t want to eat karela because of its bitter taste. In this recipe Karela is marinate with salt for 30 minutes and then fry so its bitterness is reduces.

Many peoples don’t want to eat karela because of its bitter taste. In this recipe Karela is marinate with salt for 30 minutes and then fry so its bitterness is reduces.

INGREDIENTS
·         Green colour Bitter gourd  – 250 gm(about 3 big size) (करेला )
·         Salt as per taste – less than ½ tea spoon 
·         Oil for frying





   









Method – How to make Karela fry
1)      Choose green colour  karelas for this recipe. Wash the Karelas and cut them into thin round shape.

               Add salt , mix well and keep aside for 30 minutes.


2)      After 30 minutes heat oil in Kadai or tawa for frying karelas.


3)      Fry the karela on high flame.
4)      Add the karelas in batches and fry until it makes crispy and golden brown.

5)      Place fried karela pieces on plate and sprinkle some chili powder and mix well.   

                                       Serve hot with Puri / Chapati or with Rice.
