BATATA BHAJI RECIPE / ALU KI SABZI / MAHARASHTRIAN STYLE POTATO SABZI /आलू की सब्ज़ी




                    This is Maharashtrian style BATATA BHAJI RECIPE. Potato is the excellent source of Vitamin C . It  is a good source of vitamin B6 and potassium. Potatoes are easily available in all places. 
                                        Cuisine -  Indian , Maharashtrian
                                        Course –  Main  vegetarian
                                        Servings – 4 to 5
Preparation  time -  10 minutes
Cooking time – 15 minutes
Total – 25 minutes

INGREDIENT
·         Potato – 5 (about ½ Kg) (बटाटा )
·         Onion – 1 (कांदे )
·         Turmeric powder – ½ tea spoon (हल्दी )
·         Cumin seed – ½ tea spoon (जीरे )
·         Chili powder – 3 table spoons (मिर्ची पाउडर)
·         Salt as per taste
·         Oil – 3 table spoon

                    Lets see how to make BATATA  BHAJI RECIPE step by step with photos.
1)      First wash and cut the potatoes in round shape. Put  the potato pieces  into water


2)      Heat oil in pan and add cumin seed, then  add chopped onion and saute it.

3)      When potato becomes translucent then add chopped potatoes, chili powder, turmeric powder and salt as per taste. Mix well.

4)      Place the lid on the pan and cook for 2 minutes. After 2 minutes add one cup water and allow to cook potatoes by placing the lid.

Our Potato sabzi is ready to serve.
                                    
  Serve BATATA BHAJI / POTATO SABZI / ALU KI SABZI with Chapati / Bhakri /Rice.
